The Dashboard is just one step in a series of major shifts in public education, changes that have raised the bar for student learning, transformed testing, and increased the focus on equity.

This advisory Committee makes a recommendation to the Superintendente as to the start date of the instructional calendar for one or two upcoming school years.

The LCAP addresses the needs of all students, including specific student groups, and all districts must specifically address English learners, foster youth, and low-income students.

San Diego Unified Council of PTAs
Serving local PTA Leaders of San Diego and Advocating for ALL Children. Our goal is to ensure that individual units have the training, tools and tips that help them run a successful PTA.

PTA is part of the fabric of the United States’ public-education system and a trusted partner to millions of parents, families, educators and community members, as it advocates for education, welfare, health and safety of all children. PTA has been instrumental in establishing programs and services to improve children’s lives.
Volunteer at SDUSD
San Diego Unified School District welcomes and encourages involvement from parents, community members, businesses, community organization, higher education institutions and the military. In order to provide students with a safe environment and allow for a variety of opportunities for volunteering volunteer participation is classified in 4 categories. Depending upon the category, certain processes must be completed by district staff prior to volunteering.
