Project Ujima - Social Media Safety
Project Ujima meeting. The topic is: “Social Media Danger.” You will learn about the risks students may encounter while accessing the Internet, as well as the ways in which you can prevent your child from becoming a victim of Internet crime and what to do about cyber-bullying. The meeting will be at Valencia Park Elementary in the auditorium. The address is 5880 Skyline Drive, San Diego, CA, 92114. Spanish translation and childcare is provided free of charge. Jonas Salk Elementary will be having a "Coffee with a Cop" event where School Police Service will discuss their department and answer questions from families.
Encanto Family Friday- HIHS #2 Characters Matter
This workshop will be about High Impact Home Strategy #2 Characters Matters. We will be talking about characters and the difference between feeling and traits. We will also be discussing how to talk to you child about the characters they read in their books.
Computer Basics
In this hands-on class, parents will become familiar with the basic components of a computer, use basic Microsoft applications, and set up free email accounts in order to access the district’s Online resources, monitor student progress, and increase communication with school staff.
