One such opportunity that will be launched in January is the Intercultural Relations Community Council.  This council will be made up of representatives of local community organizations who understand of the needs of diverse students and families and how to advocate for them.  In support of our district’s goal to provide safe and inclusive schools for all students, we invite 1-2 representatives of your organization to gather on January 22, 2018 to develop the goals, structure, potential focus areas of district policy for the council to discuss and provide input on.  The group will convene again in March and in May to further develop action steps, reflect on progress, and set goals for the following year.
